Family Photographer — South East London

We're Sacha and Rod, the two photographers behind The Greenwich Studio — a calm,

light-filled family photography studio at 1A Peyton Place, SE10, where families from across

South East London come for relaxed, natural portraits.

Sacha leads every shoot. She holds a BA (Hons) in Fashion Photography from the London

College of Fashion, was the Jon Bird 2020 prize winner at Fish Slab Gallery (with a

week-long solo exhibition of her work), and has been featured in Mob Journal. She brings a

fashion-trained eye for light, tone and the small natural moments that make family portraits

feel real rather than staged. Rod handles editing, the studio systems, and the behind-the-

scenes detail that keeps each session running smoothly.

We welcome families from Blackheath, Lewisham, Dulwich, Forest Hill, Brockley,

Charlton, Bromley and across the wider SE postcodes. Our approach is unhurried, child-led,

and built around how you want the session to feel. Pets welcome. Grandparents welcome.

Toddlers having a meltdown — welcome and entirely expected.

"Sacha and Rod's chemistry abound in every angle and shot! Their energy and absolutepassion for photographing their subjects ooze out of the finished work. It is astonishing howthey make every photo come to life with beauty and vivacity! This photo studio is 100% a cut above any other photo studio I have visited in London."

— Ingrid, family session at The Greenwich Studio

Why families across South East London choose The Greenwich Studio

A boutique studio, by design. We take a deliberately limited number of family sessions each month, so every family gets our full attention from booking through to gallery delivery. No production-line bookings. No second shooters.

Photographer-led, end to end. The photographer who replies to your enquiry is theone holding the camera on the day. Sacha personally shoots every session, with Rod supporting on lighting, editing and studio flow.

Award winning photographer. BA (Hons) Fashion Photography, London College ofFashion. Jon Bird 2020 prize winner with a week-long exhibition at Fish Slab Gallery. Featured in Mob Journal.

A real Greenwich studio. Established December 2023 at 1A Peyton Place, SE10. A short walk from Greenwich, Maze Hill and Cutty Sark DLR. Easy access from across South East London.

Pets welcome. Dogs are part of the family and they're welcome in our studio. Just letus know in advance so we can plan the space.

Covered by public liability insurance and equipment cover for every session.

What to expect from your session

Family photography only works when nobody feels under pressure. Children pick up on adult stress in seconds, and a stressed-out parent in front of the camera produces stressed-out family portraits. So our entire approach is built around removing that pressure.

You'll arrive at the studio and get settled with a drink. We'll talk through what kind of images matter most to you — the formal family portrait, the individual children, the silly moments, the sibling shot, the three-generation portrait if grandparents are joining. Then we work through those at the children's pace, with breaks built in. Toddlers cry. Older kids get bored. Babies need feeding. None of it is a problem. The session is designed around it.

Our style is studio-led, natural, and unhurried. We don't do over-posed, stiff "say cheese"family photography. The images we love most are the ones where everyone forgot we were there — the genuine smiles, the small interactions, the moment a sibling whispers something funny to another sibling, the way a parent looks at a child when they think no one's watching.

How Booking With Us Works

  1. Enquire and pick a date. Get in touch via the contact form or call 07506 624 550. We'll send you available dates and  confirm yours once your session is booked.

  2. Pre-session guidance. Once you've booked, we send a welcome guide with styling tips, what to bring, how to prep younger children, and parking and transport info for the studio.

  4. Gallery and delivery. Your private online gallery is ready within 2–3 weeks of the session. You pick your favourites for additional prints, wall art or albums if you'd like to add to your package.

Family Photography Across South East London

Family photography in Blackheath. Blackheath families are some of our most regular family bookings — we're a short drive or 10-minute walk across the heath from SE3, and the studio at Peyton Place is genuinely the closest dedicated family portrait studio for most Blackheath postcodes. We've shot Blackheath families through multiple sessions — maternity, newborn, first-birthday, then full family portraits two or three years on.

Family photography in Lewisham. Lewisham families travel to us regularly — the studio is a 10-minute drive from central Lewisham and the SE13 postcodes. Our studio is set up so a family with a stroller, a toddler, a baby and three changes of outfit can arrive without it feeling like a logistical operation. Sessions are unhurried — there is no clock-watching at the studio.

Family photography in Dulwich. (East, West, Village) Dulwich families have been some of our most loyal repeat clients. The drive across to PeytonPlace from SE21/SE22 is straightforward, and we love the multi-generation Dulwich sessions where grandparents are visiting and we get three generations in front of the camera together. Several Dulwich families come back to us annually.

Family photography in Forest Hill. Forest Hill is a 15-minute drive or a quick overground hop from us at Peyton Place. We've worked with Forest Hill families across multiple bookings — particularly the "we've just had baby number two, let's capture the four of us" sessions, which are some of our favourite shoots to do.

Family photography in Brockley. Brockley families make a regular trip to the studio across the SE4 postcodes. The mix of young families in Brockley means we see a lot of newborn-with-toddler-sibling family sessions, which we particularly enjoy — the dynamic between a curious older sibling and a brand-new baby is always different and always lovely to photograph.

Family photography in Charlton. Charlton families have the easiest journey to the studio — under 10 minutes by car. We've shot a lot of multi-child Charlton family sessions where the children range from toddler to early teens, and the studio is set up to make that completely manageable.

Family photography in Bromley. Bromley sits at the southern edge of our regular SE London catchment. Bromley families travel up to the Greenwich studio for family sessions because the studio space, the controlled lighting, and the unhurried approach are hard to find closer to home in the BR postcodes. We can also discuss home sessions across Bromley if travel is genuinely tricky.

We had a fantastic experience at The Greenwich Studio. The space is welcoming and stylish, with a unique storefront and plenty of natural light. Sacha and Rod created the studio themselves. They were wonderful — friendly, professional and patient. They captured genuine

smiles and happy moments, and we are thrilled with our photos. We highly recommend these dedicated photographers. — Nadia, Family Session, Greenwich
