The best time to book your Maternity Photoshoot is between 28-34 weeks. During this time your bump is beautifully defined and you should still feel comfortable enough to move around the studio with ease. Our sessions are always relaxed and unhurried - we will work around you, at your own pace.

What to wear to your Maternity Portrait Session

As you can imagine being comfortable for your maternity session is a must! With every session we always give our clients a guide book in their email that helps you to decide on what outfits you should bring to your session. Here are a few suggestions from The Greenwich Studio:

Flowing dresses always work well - especially those that are soft and drape over your bump.
Neutral & pastel colours photograph beautifully and aren't too distracting unlike bold/bright colours.
Try to avoid patterns or logos.
If your partner is joining the session it's best to wear clothing that compliments each other - aim for coordination not matching.
Feel free to bring 1-3 outfit changes to add variation in your photos.
Some clients like to bring along sentimental items such as a heirloom necklace or other piece of jewellery, baby shoes or your baby scan.

What happens after your session

Once we finish your Maternity Photoshoot, we'll thoughtfully prepare your unedited gallery for you to view online. This usually arrives within a few days after your session. You'll be able to view a selection of unedited images from your session and choose your favourites to send back to us for editing.

Once you've made your selection, alert us and we can begin the editing process - which generally takes around two weeks. Every image is edited in our signature natural, light and airy style. We always aim for soft natural edits, that feel true to the moment.

Every package includes complimentary prints, so that you can hold a tangible piece of your session - ready for framing. If you're interested in ordering extra images or prints, we'll send you our photo and printing price list. We can print a range of sizes and every photo is printed on premium high quality paper, with either silk or satin finish.
