We're Sacha and Rod, the two photographers behind The Greenwich Studio - a calm, light- filled space at 1A Peyton Place, SE10, where families from across South East London come for unhurried, baby-led newborn sessions.
Sacha leads every shoot. She holds a BA (Hons) in Fashion Photography from the London College of Fashion and was awarded the Jon Bird 2020 prize winner at Fish Slab Gallery (with a week-long solo exhibition of her work), and has been featured in Mob Journal.
She brings a fashion-trained eye for light, tone and natural connection to every newborn portrait.
Rod handles editing, the studio systems, and the behind-the-scenes detail that keeps each session running smoothly - so on the day, you have one photographer's full attention, and a second
pair of hands when you need them.

How booking with us works
1. Enquire and pencil in a date
Get in touch whenever you'd like — most families book during the second or third trimester. We pencil in a provisional session date for around week 1–2 after your due date and confirm the exact day once baby arrives.
2. Pre-session welcome
Once you've booked, we send a welcome guide with what to wear, what to bring, how to prep your day, and what to do if baby arrives early or late. We're easy to reach with any questions before the session.
3. The session
You arrive at the studio at 1A Peyton Place. We work gently and slowly across one to two hours, baby-led the whole way. Siblings welcome. Pets welcome with notice. Partners absolutely.
4. Gallery and delivery
A sneak peek lands within a few days. Your full edited gallery is ready within two weeks. You pick your favourites for any additional prints, wall art or albums you'd like to add.

Newborn photography in Blackheath
Blackheath families make up a steady portion of our newborn bookings - we're a short drive or 10-minute walk across the heath from SE3, and the studio at Peyton Place is genuinely the closest dedicated newborn studio for most Blackheath postcodes. Several families have come to us first for a maternity session, then newborn, then first-birthday. If you'd prefer a session at home rather than the studio, Blackheath is well within our home-visit range.
Newborn photography in Lewisham
Many of the families who visit our studio travel from Lewisham for calm, relaxed newborn sessions with their little ones. Our Greenwich studio is an easy journey from Lewisham, with free parking outside, a cosy space to settle in, and baby-led sessions designed to work around feeding, cuddles and plenty of breaks.
Newborn photography in Dulwich (East, West, Village)
Dulwich families have been some of our most generous repeat clients - newborn, then sibling sessions, then family portraits two years later. The drive across to Peyton Place from SE21/SE22 is straightforward; we can also do home sessions in Dulwich if you'd rather not travel in the early weeks. Park-style outdoor follow-up sessions in Dulwich Park are something we can plan into later milestone shoots.

Forest Hill is a 15-minute drive or a quick overground hop from us at Peyton Place. We've shot newborns for families across SE23, and the proximity makes it easy to plan studio sessions even in the first 7–14 days when no one really wants a long journey.
Newborn photography in Charlton
Charlton families have the easiest journey to the studio — under 10 minutes by car, and a manageable walk for many. We've done a lot of newborn-plus-sibling sessions for Charlton families where there's a toddler running around as well; the studio's set up to make that completely manageable.
Newborn photography in Bromley
Bromley sits at the southern edge of our regular SE London catchment, but plenty of Bromley families travel up to the Greenwich studio for newborn sessions because there's no comparable dedicated newborn studio space closer to home. We can also offer home sessions across the BR1–BR7 postcodes if travel in the first two weeks feels like too much.
